Boulevard Theatre announces its 2020 Season
The Boulevard Theatre, the new theatre in the heart of Soho, has announced its 2020 Season. Following the inaugural production, Ghost Quartet, will be:
The Sunset Limited by Cormac McCarthy, directed by Terry Johnson
The Effect by Lucy Prebble, directed by Anthony Neilson
Hello and Goodbye by Athol Fugard, directed by Yaël Farber
The Cavalcaders by Billy Roche, directed by Kathy Burke
Artistic Director, Rachel Edwards, said at the announcement: “It’s an honour to be at the helm of one of the many theatres opening in London at the moment. It is heartening to know that more and more people are seeking out reasons to come together to listen to stories and to share experiences. At its heart, theatre creates community, conversation, understanding and ultimately empathy. I hope that the Boulevard can play its small part in creating an environment where all those things are possible.”
The Boulevard will also offer a late-night programme of comedy, music and cabaret and a Sunday Service featuring concerts, live literature and podcast recordings. There is a restaurant and bar at the theatre, open from 8am to 1am.
Martin Ball, director of Creative Juice, is acting as Executive Director for the theatre. For more information about the theatre and to book tickets, visit the theatre’s website.
